\u00a0Damn North East winters<\/em><\/strong>!<\/em>\u2026. \u00a0Long gone are the days of fair skies and warm weather fishing. \u00a0 Seems like forever ago and forever until they return. What to do in the \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0mean time? I find myself trying to \u201cgame plan\u201d fishing every minute of free time I have after ice-out. \u00a0Going stir-crazy with all the new-found knowledge I have acquired in the \u00a0off-season: watching the fishing channels. YouTube videos, \u00a0countless fishing publications and tackle catalogs. \u00a0I\u2019ve been passing time amassing the gear I need for the coming \u00a0season. \u00a0All the fixing and maintenance of equipment is done. \u00a0Tackle boxes, wading and boating gear organized, ready to go. \u00a0I\u2019ve even begun tying my own flies and making \u00a0lures.<\/p>\n

Weather has been exceptionally cold with few days (or even hours) above freezing. \u00a0Ice build-up in the guides and ice shelves extending far in to the water on the usually flowing rivers, I\u2019m officially:\u00a0Frustrated<\/em>. \u00a0Yeah, yeah, Ice fishing\u2026.. \u00a0It calms the itch, but doesn\u2019t soothe the pain. \u00a0So what to do? \u00a0Start a Fishing Blog, you say? \u00a0Hmmmm. \u00a0Something to help pass the time and fuel the dreams? \u00a0Why not?<\/p>\n
